Our analysis of five decades of sex research shows an evolving spectrum of sexual norms
View project โI analyzed the language used in 4,545 sex research papers published from 1970 to 2017 in two journals of the field: the Journal of Sex Research and the Archives of Sexual Behavior. By tracking the most-used words over five decades, the analysis reveals how the language used in the field evolved alongside shifting sexual norms and societal attitudes.
