How the broken immigration system is pushing skilled workers to enter illegally

Undocumented migration from India and China surged nearly sevenfold after the pandemic, paradoxically, from the two countries that already supply most of America’s legal skilled workers. I charted the broken pipeline from work visa to green card to make the case that it’s the restrictive legal immigration system that was pushing people toward unauthorized paths.
