I created an infographic comparing electric and gasoline cars on two key dimensions: lifetime cost and environmental impact.

Using the IEA’s total-cost-of-ownership model, I visualized everything from purchase price and maintenance to particulate pollution, metal mining, and lifetime CO2 emissions. The story shows that while EVs aren’t greener on every measure, they come out ahead overall, even when the grid relies on coal.
