Europeans say immigrants contribute more to the region’s culture than its economy

This article uses European Social Survey data to show that Europeans view immigrants’ cultural contributions more favorably than their economic contributions. Across multiple countries surveyed from late 2018 to early 2019, respondents consistently rated immigrants higher on enriching cultural life than on benefiting the economy.
