The US has made post-graduation jobs impossible to get for many foreign students

The COVID-19 pandemic disrupted the Optional Practical Training (OPT) program that allows over 150,000 foreign graduates annually to work in the US for 12 to 36 months after graduation. With campuses closed and students returning home, many risk losing OPT eligibility.
