October is the biggest month of chocolate and candy imports

I analyzed International Trade Centre data to show that October is the world’s peak month for chocolate and candy imports — driven by Halloween, which the U.S. candy industry calls its “Super Bowl.” I charted the seasonal surge across countries, revealing that 34% of nations see their highest chocolate imports in October, while countries that don’t celebrate Halloween peak at different times reflecting their own local holidays.
