Venezuela was named the most dangerous country to live in for the second consecutive year in Gallup’s 2018 Global Law and Order report, with only 17% of residents feeling safe walking alone at night. The country’s deteriorating economic and political conditions drove exceptionally high rates of theft and assault, along with deep distrust of local police.
